Editorial policy

Neither mockery, nor faith. Method.

SINAL/RUÍDO does not start from the conclusion. It organizes the available material, records provenance, separates testimony from document, spells out competing hypotheses, and preserves the right to end in "we don't know."

01 · Document

The record exists.

We identify origin, date, chain of copies, context, alterations and access to the original when possible. An official document does not mean confirmation of an extraordinary interpretation.

02 · Testimony

Someone stated something.

We record who spoke, when, how much time had passed, existing versions and possible later contamination. Testimony is testimonial evidence, not automatic physical proof.

03 · Hypothesis

One explanation competes with others.

Conventional, instrumental, atmospheric and extraordinary hypotheses must be judged by what they explain and what they fail to explain, with no bonus for being more interesting.

Maturity levels

Level 1 · Record

Basic entry and initial sources. Does not represent a complete investigation.

Level 2 · Indexed case

Organized, traceable material, still subject to formal factual audit.

Level 3 · Reviewed dossier

Approved WEB factual audit, source genealogy and limitations spelled out.

What the archive never does

  • Does not calculate an "extraterrestrial probability."
  • Does not use popularity as evidence.
  • Does not turn absence of an explanation into confirmation.
  • Does not present the novel's fiction as fact.
  • Does not hide known corrections or limitations.
